The Detroit Lions’ playoff fate could be decided on Christmas when the Lions (8-7) travel to U.S. Bank Stadium on Thursday to face the Minnesota Vikings in another NFC North showdown. The Vikings (7-8) are already out of playoff contention and could bring the Lions down with them in the penultimate game of the regular season for each team.

J.J. McCarthy will not play when the Minnesota Vikings host the Detroit Lions at 3:30 p.m. CT on Christmas Day.
