For this press run, Howard and Jared are using black rubber base ink to print a large photo engraving of a cartoon depiction of Howard and his favorite letterpress saying, “Mind your p’s & q’s.” The artwork was created by our staff member, Shawn. The NBA season has started and we here at the Sacramento History Museum are, of course, #SacramentoProud. In honor of the start of the season, Howard letterpress printed something for the Sacramento Kings. This electrotype clearly shows its age because basketballs stopped having laces in the late 1930s.
